The National Fraud Information Center and Internet Fraud Watch, operated by the nonprofit National Consumers League, provide invaluable assistance to consumers and to law enforcement agencies, free of charge. These services are made possible by grants and contributions from businesses, trade associations, and concerned individuals.
Here's how. Become a Sustaining Sponsor. Through our new sustaining sponsorship program, beginning in September 1997, we will recognize organizations that contribute $2,500 or more in support of the NFIC or IFW. According to the level of support, sponsors will be acknowledged on our web site, receive an annual report about the state of telemarketing and Internet fraud, and be recognized at the National Consumers League's annual Trumpeter Award Dinner, held each October in Washington, D.C.
For more information about becoming a Sustaining Sponsor, please contact the League's vice president for development, Larry Bostian, at (202) 835-3323, ext. 127, or e-mail him at larryb@nclnet.org.
Make a general contribution. Organizations and individuals who cannot contribute at sustaining sponsorship levels can still help to support the services provided by the NFIC and IFW by making a tax-deductible contribution to the National Consumers League. To do so, please download the form and mail or fax it to the address indicated. Your donation will be used to prevent fraud, assist victims, and help law enforcement agencies take action against illegal telemarketing and Internet operations.
Thanks to the organizations who have contributed to support the League's National Fraud Information Center, Internet Fraud Watch, and Elder Fraud Project.
